Build up your Right to rule, renown and honor and your army.
War is less likely with countries that u don't have borders with. Try to get first town/castle in a place that you will have 1, max 2 neighbors. Get heroes to party and send them to spread info about you to get right to rule. One of the factions will evetually lost a war and there will be a good opportunity to declare war on them.
You need to wait a couple of months though. Should I become a Swadian vassal then since I'm planning on taking their land? I like the Rhodoks which was why I was going to become a merc and then a vassal.īest way is the find a newly captured city or castle because they have relativly low number of men in their garrison. Mind you its wise to build up right to rule before making a faction You can keep all the castles and towns you own that way and just have to beat back the attacks from the former faction. Then eventually when I feel confident enough just take stuff over until the king denies the request to keep it. What I generally do is join a faction as a vassal and get some castles/cities and build large garrisons in each. I would bring a full rhodok/any top tier troop you find army and then deposit them all in the castle, and run off to get as many swadian militia/footmen as you can and return quickly. Its really a numbers game, so the better your surrounding relations with villages the more likely you will be able to gather enough peasants in time. Make sure when you do take a castle or town that whatever marshal of that realm has just been defeated, this will prevent the enemy from gathering a large force to retake the castle for some time.
